The BTU calculator is listed on every page of window-ac.com.  The calculator is extremely easy to use and the following steps describe the operation of the BTU Calculator.

Step 1:

Enter the width and length of the room to be cooled, use units of feet, in the appropriate boxes.

Step 2:

After entering the room dimensions in feet simply hit the calculate button to be taken to a page with your results.

Step 3:

The calculator will take you to a results page that suggests the general cooling capacity for a room of that size.  The results show the room size and the recommended BTU's of cooling.  The page also loads some window air conditioning units in that size range to review.

Step 4:

Scroll down the page to see that a summary of proper sized window air conditioners is given.  Metrics such as BTU, EER, dimensions, and weight are given for a quick review of the details of the units.
